Y pipe install maxima

Shut off car and remove from jackstands. Pull car outside and start. Let run for about 10 minutes and listen for leaks. If you have leaks, fix them. The horsepower gains are totally worth it. The gains are from RPM and up. I think I lost a little power off the line. I used a Warpspeed Y-pipe and Magnaflow cat. I compared it with a Cattman at a local shop.

Yes, it deletes the 3rd unmetered cat. No it does not cause any check engine lights or codes. Direct bolt on about 45 min. Yes this will fit 7th and 8th gens alike. This will not fit an Altima SE-R due to the rear header connection only. This business and group were created for the 7th and 8th generation, Nissan Maxima. In comparing the pipes, you can see how the flow is impeded in the stock pipe. Also note that the Cattman pipe has a longer drop from the front manifold.

I believe this causes a problem with the pipe hitting the sway bar. Also note how the stock pipe drops a bit in order to get to the Catalytic converter, this just goes to show you that the stock pipe sits higher. If the Cattman pipe would have incorporated these two things I mentioned, it would have plenty of clearance from the sway bar. I believe Warpspeed performance solved this aggravating problem. Metric Socket set some SAE may actually work though, as I found out for my front catalytic converter bolts.

Duct tape and aluminum foil if it hits your sway bar after your done because of a soft rear motor mount. Step1 : Patrick using the lubrication. Valvoline synthetic lubricant was used to loosen all bolts. My advice is to let them soak on the bolts for a few hours prior to trying to remove them.
