Can I set up a Blackberry bold to act as a personal hotspot to operate my wifi only first edition iPad? I've only had my 16GB iPad for a month. Don't get much time on it. I am trying to connect my Bberry to my iPad to each othe via Bluetooth. I get the 2 paired, but cannot get a connection.
What am I doing wrong? I am thinking about getting an iPad 3 wifi only. Can the iPad 3 use an iPhone 4 personal hotspot? I can't find personal hotspot in my WiFi 4G model. I've bring my iPad to the reseller but they cannot solve my problem, therefore I'm looking for answers here. OK, technical question here: is there an appreciable difference in the power consumption if I use personal hotspot through a BT connection rather than through WIFI?

If there is a wifi hardware issue, shouldn't that impact the ability to connect to hotspot?
